  • Message activity
From payment event to customer updateExample workflow
  1. 01A PayU payment or refund event

A supported event arrives from the PayU India merchant account connected to your project.

  2. 02Verify the payment outcome

Wydely checks the event with PayU and confirms the customer data needed for messaging.

  3. 03Your chosen customer update

An enabled template or matching flow handles eligible Live events. Activity records the outcome.

Example of a configured Live workflow. A saved connection awaits its first verified event; Test mode records events without sending messages.
Four views, one workspace

Keep verified events and customer communication together.

Connection, Automations, Payments and Activity keep setup and day-to-day review in one place.

Control the connection and messages

Keep Test and Live setup separate. Choose approved utility templates with mapped payment values, or use a matching automation flow for conditions and follow-ups.

Review received payment records

Review payments received through your webhook, with the available amount, currency, payment status and merchant transaction reference. Older payments are not imported.

Understand each event’s outcome

Inspect processing, message and flow outcomes in Activity. See why an update was skipped, such as a missing customer number or unavailable template value.

Supported payment events

Three updates your customers can understand.

Choose the events that fit your workflow. A payment event is evaluated against your message settings and customer permissions before sending.

01

Payment received

Acknowledge a successfully captured payment with the available amount, currency and payment reference.

02

Payment failed

Explain an unsuccessful payment attempt and offer a way to get help. A failed attempt does not mean the order is permanently unpaid.

03

Refund processed

Share a processed refund update using the available refund reference and amount. Bank credit timing can differ from the processing time.

Connection setup

Start in Test. Choose your Live updates.

The account owner connects the merchant account. Authorized team members can review activity and manage message settings according to their project permissions.

Messages stay under your control
Connecting does not enable customer messages. A matching active automation flow takes precedence over the direct template for that event.
  1. 01

    Connect your PayU India account

Open Integration → PayU in your Wydely project and start in Test mode. The account owner enters the merchant key and salt for that mode. Wydely stores the credentials encrypted.

  2. 02

    Register the webhook in PayU

In the matching PayU environment, open Developers → Webhooks and add the URL provided by Wydely. Enable successful and failed payment events and the refund updates available for your account.

  3. 03

    Verify a test payment

Complete a test payment, then check the connection in Wydely. A supported, verified event confirms it. Review Payments and Activity; Test mode does not send customer messages or start automation flows.

  4. 04

    Prepare the separate Live connection

Use your Live merchant credentials and matching webhook setup. Choose an approved utility template or automation flow, confirm customer permission and enable the updates you need. Review the result of each eligible event.

Account & access

Review the setup for your business.

Which PayU accounts does this integration support?

This connector is for PayU India merchant accounts. Setup uses the merchant key and salt for the selected Test or Live mode. Available payment and refund events depend on your PayU account; review your requirements in a demo.

Does connecting PayU start sending WhatsApp messages?

No. Messages start disabled. Test mode records events without sending WhatsApp messages or starting flows. Configure a separate Live connection, choose an approved utility template or automation flow, confirm customer permission and enable the intended messages.

Is this the same as collecting a payment inside WhatsApp?

The PayU integration receives and verifies merchant payment and refund events. To request a payment in a conversation, use the separate WhatsApp Payments workspace with an active PayU payment configuration. Setting up either connection does not verify the other. This connector does not initiate charges, issue refunds or create payment links.

Are earlier payments and every refund eligible for a message?

Earlier payments are not imported. A message needs a verified event, verified customer phone data and the required sending permissions. Refunds with an unconfirmed event time may be recorded without a message. Activity explains skipped events and other outcomes.

Does this change my Wydely subscription or message-credit billing?

No. Your PayU merchant connection handles customer payment updates. Wydely subscription payments and WCC messaging-credit purchases remain separate billing workflows.
